Exciting science opportunity for incoming 6th and 7th graders!
GEAC is excited to launch another enrichment opportunity for our hicap community! Once again, one of our wonderful students is willing to give back to our community:
Yash Nagarahalli, an eighth grade highly capable student at Evergreen Middle School, is inviting you to a 3-part introductory series on Science Olympiad and National Science Bowl designed for incoming 6th and 7th graders.
This is the first in a series of three meetings and meant as an orientation session. Dates for the full series:
June 5, 6:30-7:30 PM PST, online: Introductory Session on National Science Bowl and Science Olympiad - both parents and students
June 11, 6:30-7:30 PM PST, online: Science Olympiad fun, related activities - students only
June 17, 6:30-7:30 PM PST, in person at Redmond Elementary: National Science Bowl fun, related activities – students only
These lessons are designed to be an introduction to a later, more in-depth series, which will be held early in the 2025-2026 school year. Admission to the fall series will only be given to those who attend the introductory sessions.

About Yash :
Yash is the National Science Bowl Lawrence Livermore Cyber Challenge champion, stood 4th at the National Science Bowl National Finals and is also a 2x Science Olympiad National Finalist. His journey through these two competitions was exciting but also confusing and complicated, and he hopes to share his knowledge and expertise to help students and parents avoid the confusion and complications he faced when he first started out.
