Resources for Families

Discovering that you have a gifted student in your family can be both exciting and overwhelming, especially when resources and information seem hard to find. Many parents feel left alone and initially struggle to understand how to support their child’s unique learning needs and talents effectively.

Our goal is to help families navigate this journey, and make accessible resources that offer guidance on identifying gifted traits, understanding educational options, and connecting with other families in similar situations.

What is Giftedness?

Giftedness is asynchronous development in which advanced cognitive abilities and heightened intensity combine to create inner experiences and awareness that are qualitatively different from the norm. This asynchrony increases with higher intellectual capacity. The uniqueness of the gifted renders them particularly vulnerable and requires modifications in parenting, teaching and counseling in order for them to develop optimally.
