Executive Functioning and Support for Gifted and Twice Exceptional Students with Dr Mike Postma

Join us in our webinar and learn about executive functioning in gifted and 2e students - foundation, challenges, and solutions.

Executive Functioning can be tough for gifted and especially multi-exceptional students. Good executive functioning requires a stable Limbic System that may not always be present due to the commonality of asynchronous development in this population. As such, as both parents and educators we must fill in those gaps and teach our children executive functioning skills as soon as possible. This is not easy given the intensity of this population. This presentation will address what executive functioning is and the skills needed to succeed in this area, the challenges faced by both children and their parents in understanding the atypical neurodevelopment of this population, address the delay in executive functionality, and discuss measures for teaching our children these skills. Remember, it is never too late to assist our kids to navigate the challenges of life.
